From May 22 to 24, 2026, the inner city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch will transform into one big stage. For three days, live jazz, soul, funk and surprising crossovers will sound – on squares, in streets and in places you wouldn’t expect. <\/p>\n
Jazz in Duketown has become the largest free outdoor jazz festival in the Netherlands, with more than 150,000 visitors annually. Freely accessible. Right in the heart of the city. <\/p>\n
Here you will walk from stage to stage, linger where it swings and discover music that touches you, whether you are an aficionado or just feel like a vibrant day in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Nationally and internationally known musicians perform on various stages in the city center, along with new, promising bands that you may see live for the first time here. During the festival, you’ll see more than 100 performances on some 10 downtown stages, each with its own character and sound. And while pop-up bands pop up on street corners and in alleys, the hospitality industry also programs along with live music in cafes and pubs. <\/p>\n
Its broad and innovative programming shows that jazz is for all ages and for everyone. From seasoned listeners to aficionados and from young people to families and children. To dance. To discover. Or to stop and really listen. <\/p>\n

\nJazz in Duketown provides a stage for new talents. Besides programming new, upcoming bands, the festival is a springboard for students at conservatories.For the Conservatory Talent Award, the best jazz students of the eight conservatories from the Netherlands compete for the coveted Conservatory Talent Award. The winner performs at Jazz in Duketown and is supported with workshops, among other things. <\/p>\n
