The Supervisory Board of<\/strong> Jazz in Duketown appoints S\u00f3phie van Oirschot-Rijnaarts<\/strong> as the new president of the festival. She succeeds Stef Thijssen. <\/p>\n

For the past three years Stef Thijssen, as chairman, has ensured with his business strength and strong approach that Jazz in Duketown is organizationally like a house. The Supervisory Board and the board are very grateful for his efforts and happy that he will continue to share his knowledge and experience within the festival in the years to come. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

S\u00f3phie van Oirschot-Rijnaarts is owner of Podium Azijnfabriek in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, a non-subsidized stage that distinguishes itself through live music with a Burgundian approach and a healthy dose of humor. In addition, she is an organizer of Jazzy Living Rooms, bringing jazz literally into the living rooms of the city. She has also worked as business director of the New Jazz Orchestra for the past five years. <\/p>\n

Her experience with Jazz in Duketown is multi-faceted: as a child she stood in line for an autograph from Candy Dulfer, as an adult visitor she still enjoys being by the stage, and as the owner of Podium Vinegar Factory she has also been closely involved with the festival for several years now. Also through her work with musicians, she has been involved in the contact and production towards the festival. With her broad background and passion for music, she knows Jazz in Duketown and the jazz world from different perspectives and is poised to build on the solid foundation that is already there. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Jazz in Duketown is the largest free-to-attend jazz festival in the Netherlands. The upcoming edition will take place from May 22-24, 2026, marking the 52nd edition of the festival.
